SUMMARY:FuoriFestival: Flora Yin-Wong
DESCRIPTION: \nFlora Yin-Wong is a sound artist who uses rudimentary field recordings\, granular synthesis\, and traditional instrumentation underpinned by influences from club culture. In early 2023 she launched a label and publishing house\, @doyenne_booksreleasing anthologies which include work from the likes of writers Heather McCalden and Mira Mattar\, musicians Lucinda Chua and Lisa Lerkenfeldt\, and more. In 2020 she was artist in residence at the @mahlerlewitt Studios\, Spoleto\, in partnership with the experimental performance program curated by Michelangelo Miccolis at Shedhalle in Zurich. She has been presented at international galleries such as Palais de Tokyo\, MACRO Roma\, Fondation Beyeler\, Triennale Milano\, Somerset House\, The V&A Museum\, Cafe OTO London\, ISSUE Project Room\, Volksbuhne Theater\, and Spielhaus. This year she will be releasing a commissioned work with Parisian sound institute INA GRM\, which was developed and performed on a 48 channel speaker system alongside the likes of Stephen O’Malley\, Puce Mary and Jim O’Rourke & Eiko Ishibashi.  \n
