DESCRIPTION: \nFrancesca Mariano is Milan-based dancer and sound artist whose practice develops through performance and education. Her research focuses on somatics\, landscape choreography\, speculative archaeology and electronic music fantasia\, drawing inspiration from the fountain of the imagination as well as from studies on hydrofeminism\, sacred iconography and the internet kitsch. She is the founder of the dance project Archaeo Choreology and the co-founder of Nuova Atlantide. Her latest album\, Eurybia\, has been released in 2022 on Leaving Records. She has performed and collaborated with venues and institutions across the globe including de Young Memorial Museum\, UCSB ì\, CTM Festival\, the Swiss Institute\, the AA School\, Nextones\, Palermo Living Pavillion\, East Contemporary\, Maison Margiela. \n
